Northwest Florida Redistricting Meetings in Review
The local redistricting meetings are off to a great start. The purpose of holding these hearings is to empower us, as legislators, with the information we need in order to do what is right for the citizens of Florida. Last week, we heard the thoughts and ideas of  roughly 200 attendees in Pensacola, 150 in Panama City and 150 in Fort Walton Beach, and heard from around 45 speakers at each meeting. A big THANK YOU to those of you who attended and shared your ideas on how we can best draw our new legislative and congressional lines across the Panhandle.

If you were unable to attend a meetingin your area but would like to contribute your ideas, questions, or concerns, I encourage you to submit these online at: http://www.flsenate.gov/session/redistricting/ or email me at greg@gregevers.com. We still have a long road ahead of us and it is imperative that we receive your input to make this a truly transparent and efficient process that will best serve our communities and their unique needs.

Join Me at a Local Town Hall Meeting

Throughout the month of July, I will be hosting a series of town hall meetings. The purpose of these town halls is to provide you with information on recent legislative changes, discuss key issues facing our community and state going into the 2012 legislative session, and, most importantly, to hear from you on the major priorities and areas of interest for our communities. I will use this feedback to begin to shape my legislative agenda for next year. You have given me the great privilege of serving you in the Florida Senate, and your input is critical to me.

Please take a moment to send me your ideas and concerns to ensure that we build our meeting agendas based on the issues you would like us to discuss. Below, please find the details for the meetings that I sure hope you will plan on attending:
