Weekly Update from Senator Greg Evers

This Sunday will mark 10 years since the September 11^th terrorist attacks on our nation. Although this will forever be a sad day in our history, we must continue to keep all of the heroic first responders, armed forces and innocent victims of the attacks, present in heart and mind.

If you are in the area, I welcome you to join me at the Santa Rosa County God & Country Rally this Sunday, September 11, at the Milton High School Stadium at 3 p.m. as we commemorate all the victims and survivors of the 9/11 attacks.  We will also be honoring all of our soldiers, both home and overseas, who have continued to serve and protect our nation during the ongoing war on terrorism.  Speakers will include occupants of the World Trade Center Tower 2 and the Pentagon, responders to Ground Zero, among others.  I want to personally thank our local heroes and members of the Fire Fighters Association for their support of this event and for making this happen.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone out there as we pay tribute to all those who were lost and who will be forever a part of American history. On that note, I want to again express my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of my dear friend Dave Bitner. His legacy of service and contribution to our State and to the Republican Party of Florida is never to be forgotten.  Please join my family in keeping Dave, Wendy and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers.
