Weekly Update from Senator Greg Evers
October 22, 2011
I would like to thank all of you who were in attendance and gave us your thoughts during this past week's public hearing with the Escambia County Legislative Delegation. We cannot stress enough how important your public input and participation is during these hearings to keep us grounded with your priorities and your needs.
Coming up this week in Tallahassee, my Senate Bill 238, which would remove the requirement that some percentage of ethanol be included in all gasoline for sale, will be presented during Wednesday's Communications, Energy, and Public Utilities Committee meeting in the Senate. I hope that the intentions of this good bill will be well-received by my colleagues and that we engage on a healthy discussion on the need for this legislation to pass.
Wishing everyone a happy and restful weekend and remember to keep your children safe and guarded as you engage in the festivities of this Halloween weekend.
As always, do not hesitate to email me at Greg@Gregevers.com with any questions or concerns or call my legislative office at (850) 487-5000.
Warmly,
Greg
