Weekly Update from Senator Greg Evers

November 18, 2011

This week, I had the honor and pleasure of receiving one of the 2011 Defender of Liberty Awards from the American Conservative Union. This recognition from the ACU is given to Legislators on the federal and state level who support legislation that upholds our conservative values of limited government, lowering taxes, individual freedom and free markets. This was the first-ever rating by the ACU of Florida’s legislature, and I am sincerely honored and humbled to have received this wonderful recognition.

I hope everyone is excited about our Thanksgiving holiday being only a few days away and for the opportunity to take some time off with friends and family to give thanks and celebrate our wonderful traditions. I hope everyone takes some time to reflect on their many blessings and appreciate the opportunity to share in the love and unity of family, as we kick off the holiday season.

I would also like to take this opportunity and remind everyone of our scheduled Santa Rosa Legislative Delegation meeting on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Santa Rosa County Administrative Complex located at 6495 Caroline St. in Milton. I hope to see many of you out there to share our ideas and hear your thoughts, as we near the start of the Legislative Session in January.

If you would like to be placed on the agenda to speak or submit any handouts, please contact my district office in Crestview at (850) 689-0556, or email mcgraw.ann.s02@flsenate.gov before close of business on Tuesday, November 22, 2011.

I hope everyone has a safe and restful weekend, and a very happy Thanksgiving!

God bless,

Greg
