Endorsement: Firefighters like them some Evers

Greg Evers, running for the sate Senate seat that includes all or parts of seven counties including, Bay, Walton and Washington counties, has picked up another in a long line of endorsements.
Florida Professional Firefighters, Inc now says it is behind Evers.
"We believe that Greg Evers will honorably serve the citizens of Florida, and the interests of the men and women employed in the fire and emergency medical services, who have made the protection of life and properly their life's work," said Bob Carver, president of FPF in a press release.
The issue of Evers' endorsements has become an issue in his race against fellow term-limited state representative Dave Murzin.
Some Republicans, including state Sen. Don Gaetz, R - Niceville, took some heat for pledging their support for Evers. Critics said Republicans should not take sides in primaries, a la Jim Greer backing Charlie Crist in his run for U.S. Senate. (Blog about the issue here)
Evers does hold a significant money lead over Murzin ($220,681 to $75,938).
